Workflow: Shopify PDP at 4:5 aspect ratio

Shopify product pages render best at 4:5 portrait. Here is the Apiway workflow for a coherent multi-look PDP — White Studio for the catalog hero, Virtual Try-On for the lifestyle alt, consistent identity across both.

Shopify product pages render best at 4:5 portrait — it gives the garment the most vertical space without distorting the gallery on mobile. This workflow ships a coherent multi-look PDP using Apiway.

Steps

  2. Generate the back angle at 4:5Same model, back pose, same lighting.
  3. Generate a lifestyle alt (Styled Photoset)Pick a marketplace creator photo set whose vibe matches the brand and overlay the same garment.open in Apiway
  4. Download all at 2K and upload to ShopifyUse 4:5 portrait dimensions in Shopify product image settings.
  • Hero: White Studio at 4:5, front pose, pure white #FFFFFF background. The opening image of the PDP.
  • Back angle: White Studio at 4:5, back pose, same model identity.
  • Detail: Ghost Mannequin at 4:5 to show the garment shape without a model.
  • Lifestyle alt: Styled Photoset using a marketplace creator photo set whose vibe matches the brand.

Keeping the model consistent

For brand consistency, lock the AI model identity across the catalog:

  • Pick the same preset model for every White Studio shot, OR
  • Rent a marketplace avatar (real creator) and use it across all PDPs. The avatar fee is per generation; the model identity is identical.

See how to keep the same AI model across a 100-SKU collection.

Uploading to Shopify

  • Download from /app/gallery at 2K (Shopify defaults strip large images).
  • Use 4:5 portrait dimensions in the Shopify product image settings.
  • Drop into Shopify in the order: hero, back, detail, lifestyle.
