Bulk upload creator photos (Photos tab)

Upload dozens of frames in one session from /app/creators/photos/bulk-upload. Covers HEIC support, queued resize jobs, how draft listings appear in the Photos tab, and how bulk upload pairs with per-listing publish and pricing.

Last updated

The Photos tab inside Creators is the staging area for frames that will become marketplace listings. When you need to move an entire shoot off disk quickly, use /app/creators/photos/bulk-upload — drag a folder or many files, let Apiway queue resize jobs, then finish metadata per listing.

Requirements

  • An Apiway account. You no longer need to publish a creator profile first — when your first listing goes live, Apiway publishes a minimal public storefront on your behalf (auto-allocated nickname plus generated display name) so the listing has a public home immediately. You can rename the nickname, swap the avatar, and rewrite the bio anytime in Creators → Profile.
  • Supported formats: PNG, JPEG, WebP, and HEIC. Large files are resized in the browser before upload.

What happens after upload

  1. Files upload to private storage immediately so you can close the tab without losing bytes.
  2. Choosing Publish queues server-side clustering and listing creation from those staged paths. The app shows a short Do not close this tab step, then Review photo sets so you can drag frames between listings. When you tap Finish, Studio opens Creators → Profile on your public profile section with a reminder to complete display name, URL, and bio. Auto-generated listing title and long description can finish in the background after review opens.
  3. Async resize jobs normalize dimensions for the marketplace pipeline. While jobs run, the Photos tab shows progress; completed batches spawn draft photo sets you can open for editing.
  4. Each draft opens in the existing photo-set editor — add title, creator pool price (minimum 83 credits, an inline hint warns you if the value drops below the floor), co-authors, and publish when the legal checkbox is satisfied. Bulk upload never skips publish or pricing.
  5. Advanced prompt mode is not on the bulk upload page — set it per listing when you sell or edit a photo set.
  • Creators → Photos → Upload photos — primary entry.
  • Your own creator profile → Add photos — owner-only shortcut on both the published and unpublished previews of studio.apiway.ai/<nickname>.
  • Explore → List as a creator — shortcut for buyers who want to onboard supply without hunting the sidebar; in Creator mode the link is rendered as a black filled button so it reads as the primary action.
