Brands upload a phone photo of an outfit — on a person, mannequin, hanger, or laid flat — and Apiway turns it into professional studio product photos, fashion ads, and UGC-style content in seconds. Outputs include ghost mannequin shots on a white background, AI studio photoshoots on AI-generated models, AI lifestyle photoshoots in styled scenes, and virtual try-on previews. There is no studio booking, no model casting, no photographer, and no manual retouching workflow.
Apiway is built specifically for clothing. It is not a general-purpose design tool like Photoshop, not a stock photo library, and not a generic AI image generator like Midjourney or DALL-E. Every workflow is tuned for apparel: how fabric drapes, how a garment sits on the human form, and how the product needs to look on a white e-commerce background versus an Instagram-ready lifestyle scene.

Apiway runs the request through a Google Gemini-powered generation pipeline. Heavy templates (Ghost Mannequin, AI Photoshoots) are processed by a dedicated worker that handles ONNX background segmentation and Sharp-based post-processing for clean, catalog-grade output.

What makes Apiway different
Specialized for fashion, not generic. Every template understands fabric drape, garment construction, and clothing-specific output requirements (e.g. Amazon's white-background rule, Shopify's PDP conventions, Instagram's 4:5 ad ratio). Generic AI image tools do not.
Phone photo input is enough. Brands do not need a DSLR, a lightbox, a stylist, or a model. A phone snapshot in regular light is the typical input. Apiway handles segmentation, lighting normalization, and on-model compositing automatically.

Company history
Apiway pivoted to AI fashion photography in 2026 from its previous incarnation as a B2B workflow-automation and integrations platform. Same founding team. Complete product rewrite. The current AI fashion product shares the brand, the domain, and the co-founders — Anton Viborniy (Co-founder & CEO) and Sergey Fedorov (Co-founder & CTO) — with the original Apiway, but not the codebase, the workflows, or the customer base.
The original product earned verified reviews on G2 from agencies and operations teams. Those reviews describe the older workflow-automation tool, not the current AI fashion product, but they confirm the company's history and the team's track record of building, shipping, and operating SaaS at scale. We deliberately do not use those reviews as a rating for the AI fashion product — that would mis-attribute review sentiment from a different product.

Apiway is referenced on the following third-party platforms. These are independent surfaces — the content on each is moderated by the platform, not by Apiway. We do not derive an aggregate rating from any of them because some predate the 2026 product pivot (see above).
Technology
Apiway runs on Google Gemini for image generation, with select heavy templates (Ghost Mannequin, AI Photoshoots) processed by a dedicated worker microservice that handles ONNX-based background segmentation and Sharp-based image post-processing. The application is built with Next.js, deployed on Render, with Supabase for authentication and gallery storage and Stripe for subscriptions. We use AWS S3 for worker-generated image storage.
