Creator support Q&A (Instagram DM & marketplace)

Message @apiway_official on Instagram. New creators complete consent, email, and a 6-digit verification code, then can send photos and USD prices in chat. After your Studio account is linked, the assistant can answer product questions, show your storefront link, edit profile fields (name, URL, bio, photo, socials) in chat, report upload and earnings status, list recent photo sets, request a withdrawal, and run confirmed actions (delete a listing, cancel a bulk draft, publish or unpublish your profile, and publish a previously unpublished photo set). Under My Photos the bot shows a Published / Unpublished chooser; each unpublished card has a Moderation info button that explains why the set is hidden (held for consent, still analysing, or unpublished by you) and then offers Publish / Delete — a set that moderation held asks you to confirm everyone shown consented and there are no minors first. The Account menu also has an Upgrade button that opens /pricing auto-logged-in, and the bot DMs you a confirmation with your new credit balance after you upgrade to a paid plan. The AI agent button opens a picker — Comment to DM automations or the Brand Deal Qualifier (see the dedicated questions on each). Frame-level listing edits stay in Studio at studio.apiway.ai.

Creators dashboard

Comment to DM is a ManyChat-style comment-to-DM rule you build entirely inside the @apiway_official chat — and it is free. Tap AI agent, then pick Comment to DM, then pick what it covers: an Existing post (forward one of your own Instagram posts into the chat), your Next new post, or All your posts. Then set the keyword that triggers it, the private DM text the commenter receives, an optional link button (must start with https://), and one or more public comment-reply variants — the bot rotates them so repeated replies look human. After that it goes live: when a follower comments your keyword on the covered post, the bot posts a public reply and sends them a welcome DM with your message and a Start button; when they tap Start, Apiway delivers your message again with the link button. On free plans the link opens through a brief Apiway-branded redirect page and the follower also sees a small “Automation powered by @apiway_official” note; paid plans send the link directly with no Apiway branding. Automations only work on your own posts and require your Instagram to be connected; setup drafts expire about 20 minutes after inactivity and you can tap Cancel at any step.

The Brand Deal Qualifier is a free AI agent that sorts brand collaboration offers for you. Tap AI agent in the @apiway_official chat, then pick Brand Deal — the bot sends you a button that logs you straight into the AI agents page at studio.apiway.ai/app/agents. There you connect Gmail, and the agent reads every new email and sorts it into one of three buckets: a brand deal is starred and left unread so real offers stand out, a personal or important email is left untouched, and a newsletter or promo is marked read and filed under Promotions. It only re-labels — it never sends, replies, or deletes — and it classifies each sender once so it stays fast and cheap. Sorting Instagram brand-deal DMs from inside this chat is coming soon, but the AI agents page already has an Instagram DM toggle: switch it on and when a brand DMs your connected Instagram, the agent recognises a real offer, asks a couple of quick questions, and saves the brief to your Deals inbox (people who aren't pitching are ignored). Both paths stage marketplace photos for the same bulk-publish pipeline. DM is optimized for quick drops from your phone: send images (or share a carousel post you own) and set a batch price in chat. Studio bulk upload supports folders, HEIC, dedup pre-checks, consent modal, and per-draft controls on the Photos tab. After either path, you still set title, co-authors, and publish each listing in Studio unless the DM batch auto-published drafts already.

The code proves you control the Studio account before Apiway links your Instagram thread to that user. This prevents someone else’s Instagram from accessing your listings or earnings. Codes are sent to email (same flow as Studio sign-in) and expire quickly; Apiway does not publish full codes or magic links in the DM thread.

Each verified Instagram sender thread maps to one Studio user after link time. If you operate two Instagram profiles, use the account that should own the marketplace listings, or contact [email protected] if you need to move a link after a mistake. Do not share verification codes across accounts.

Usually no — the Instagram session stays tied to your user id. Sign in to Studio with the new email. If DM stops recognizing you, open Account in Studio to confirm the email, then message @apiway_official again from the same Instagram account; do not start onboarding with a different email unless support helps you rebind.

Check spam and Promotions, wait two minutes, then request a new code. Use the same email you want on the Studio account. If it still fails, sign in at studio.apiway.ai/login/creator with that email (codes work there too) or email [email protected] from the address you used.

Apiway does not silently move a link to another Instagram thread. Stop using the wrong thread, sign in to Studio with the correct email, and email [email protected] with both Instagram handles and your Studio email so support can reset the binding safely.

Email support

Meta limits some automated replies when a user has not messaged recently. During first-time onboarding, complete consent and verification in one session. After your account is linked, Apiway extends the session window so assistant mode can continue across long gaps — if messages suddenly stop, send any text to reopen the thread or use Studio.

Replies follow the language of your current message when Apiway can detect it, with session memory for short English quick-reply taps. Public documentation is indexed in English; the model paraphrases into your language. For legal or payout specifics, Studio and email support remain authoritative.

Upload photos prompts you to send images in chat. Links sends your public profile URL and your affiliate referral link (with cref) as separate messages. Account sends one message with a link to your Creators hub in Studio (/app/creators after sign-in); if you are not logged in, the link opens email code sign-in (no password) with your email prefilled when known. Call human alerts the Apiway team in Telegram and confirms someone will follow up in DM or by email. Destructive actions use Instagram postback confirm buttons, not plain-text yes.

After your account is linked, tapping Back to Menu opens a visual card menu — the bot's main page — with seven cards: Upload your photos, AI generation, AI agents, Tutorials, Your public profile, Affiliate, and Account. Each card has its own buttons (for example Account → Balance, My Photos, Other), and the Upload card shows extra Instagram sync, Sync 50 posts, or Pinterest sync buttons until you have completed those steps. A Back to Menu quick-reply also rides under the cards so you can reopen the menu anytime. If Instagram can't render the cards, the bot falls back to the same options as plain text buttons.

Open the menu (Back to Menu) and on Your public profile card tap Generated with me. The bot sends your latest AI generation as three downloadable images — the original reference frame, the garment the brand added, and the finished AI result — so you can save them and post a made-with-me moment to your Stories. Tap Last 10 generations to see a picker of your recent results and Get images on any card to grab that full set. If no brand has generated with your photos yet, the bot tells you and reminds you to share your profile link so brands can start.

Yes — after your account is linked, reply “edit profile” in @apiway_official DM. You can change display name, public URL (nickname), bio, profile photo (send an image), and Instagram/TikTok handles in chat. If a URL is taken, the bot suggests similar handles. You can still use Creators → Profile in Studio for the full form. Publish or unpublish the profile uses Confirm in DM.

Usually it means the question was not supported by retrieved product documentation or live account tools. Rephrase the question, tap Help, ask about upload status or earnings (the bot can read your data), or email [email protected]. The assistant must not invent payout, tax, or legal advice.

Disconnecting the official channel binding is handled by support today. Email [email protected] from your Studio email with the Instagram @handle to remove. Your listings, earnings, and gallery in Studio are unchanged.

Ice Breakers need the Instagram mobile app and a fresh thread. Tap Start again or type Start. If you already completed onboarding, send any message or tap Upload photos. If it still fails, update the Instagram app, message @apiway_official directly, or begin at studio.apiway.ai/login/creator.

You can onboard, upload batches, set prices, check status, and request withdrawals in DM after link. Listing titles, co-authors, frame edits, AI-generations curation, affiliate details, and template generation still require Studio. Think of DM as mobile ops and Studio as the full editor.

Send multiple images in one conversation; Apiway ingests each attachment. The same safety ceiling as Studio bulk upload applies server-side (thousands of files per session — meant to stop accidental huge folders, not normal creator catalogs). For very large libraries, use Studio bulk upload with dedup pre-check.

Instagram usually delivers JPEG to business messaging. If a file fails, export as JPEG from Photos or upload via Studio bulk upload, which accepts HEIC and converts for preview. Per-file ceiling is about 60 MB.

Yes when you share your own post: Apiway expands still images from the carousel via Meta’s API and skips video/reel frames. You should see an acknowledgment like “Received N photos.” Reel-only shares are not ingested — send still images or use Studio.

Apiway hashes each original file per creator. If the same bytes were already published for your account, the duplicate is skipped to protect buyers from accidental double listings. Re-uploading the same shoot does not create a second listing; shoot new files or edit the existing listing in Studio.

Ask the assistant for upload status or open Creators → Photos in Studio. Background jobs keep processing after you close Instagram. Failed slots show in status summaries; retry only missing files. Cancel an in-progress bulk draft from Studio or DM with confirmed cancel when you need to stop unstaged work.

Ask to cancel the upload draft. Apiway proposes canceling the in-progress bulk draft; confirm with the Instagram postback button. After you consented to publish, cancel only stops new staging — already-queued publishes may still finish. Use Studio → Photos for full draft detail.

No — marketplace listings use still photos. Send images, not reel/video shares. Extract a frame in your editor or photograph key looks, then upload the stills.

Price changes need text (for example 8 or $12.50) or a listing URL/slug Apiway can resolve to your account. Screenshots are not reliable identifiers. Copy the link from Creators → Sets or your public photoshoot-idea page.

Yes after link: send the public listing URL or slug plus a USD price. Apiway resolves the listing only if you own it. If multiple recent listings match, the bot asks you to clarify.

Publishing is asynchronous. Refresh Creators → Photos or Sets after a minute. Resize and draft-creation jobs queue in the background; large batches take longer. If nothing appears after 15 minutes, check upload status in DM or email [email protected] with your Studio email.

In Studio go to Creators → Profile and drag listings to reorder. You can pin one listing so it always appears first; newer listings stack below in your chosen order. Unpublished listings stay private in the Sets tab only.

Open Creators → Profile → AI generations (or Earnings → Recent generations → Edit). Use Hide on a tile to remove it from the public showcase; use Unhide in the Hidden list to restore. Hiding auto-unpins that output; pinning auto-unhides. Up to 10 outputs can be pinned in your chosen order at the top.

Hide removes one buyer-generated example from your public AI generations tab. Unpublish profile removes your entire storefront and Explore presence while keeping your account. Unpublish a single photo set stops new generations on that set only. DM can unpublish/publish profile with postback confirm; hide/pin curation is Studio-only today.

Creators → Profile: drag active listings. Pin one hero listing if you want a fixed first card. Order applies to the Photo sets tab on your public page.

Public URL help

New creators see a short three-step wizard after the first bulk publish: polish avatar, nickname, bio, and socials, then copy the public profile URL for link-in-bio. Completing step 2 marks onboarding done; skipping step 3 still keeps the wizard from returning.

Share profile (docs)

Yes in Creators → Profile if the new slug is available (3–30 characters, lowercase letters, digits, underscores). Update your bio link everywhere — old URLs stop working. Reserved words like admin or api are blocked.

Nickname rules

Optional fields on Creators → Profile display when filled. Clear them to remove from the storefront. They are for discovery and trust, not login.

Edit profile

There is no small artificial cap — publish as many quality sets as you maintain. Each set can include up to 30 frames. Explore discovery still favors cohesive, on-brief sets over huge low-quality catalogs.

Explore lists published marketplace items for signed-in brands; search runs when the user presses Enter. New listings may take a short time to appear. Ensure the listing is Published (not draft), your profile is published, and frames meet quality guidelines. Discovery is competitive — strong titles, cohesive sets, and consistent publishing help.

Unpublished profiles are not public. A published profile is discoverable in Explore and via direct URL. There is no separate password-protected mode — use unpublished drafts until you are ready to go live.

There is no hard-coded minimum in the product today. Very small balances may be batched at ops discretion. Your Payout balance in Creators → Earnings is what is available to withdraw (separate from lifetime total earned).

Click Withdraw in Earnings (or ask in Instagram DM). The team typically replies within 1–2 business days by email, then processes PayPal or an agreed rail within about 3–5 business days. Timing depends on verification and payout method.

PayPal is the default when the team contacts you. Bank transfer via Wise and other rails are arranged on request — reply to the ops email with your preferred method. Apiway does not support crypto payouts today.

Balances are tracked in credits (1 credit = $0.01 USD). Payouts are typically sent in USD; contact the team during withdrawal if you need another currency and they will confirm what is supported on their rail.

Apiway does not withhold taxes on marketplace earnings. US creators are responsible for reporting income. The team may request tax or invoicing details for larger payouts — provide what they ask for in the withdrawal email thread. Apiway does not offer tax advice.

Email finance

Earnings are paid gross; you declare income in your country. Keep records from Creators → Earnings and payout emails. Consult a local tax professional for VAT, self-employment, or treaty questions — the DM assistant cannot give tax guidance.

Marketplace generations already include the platform markup (default 20% on top of your creator pool). Withdrawal itself does not add a separate product fee; third-party processors (PayPal, banks) may charge their own transfer fees.

Tell the team in the withdrawal email thread what amount you want paid out. The product button sends your current payout balance snapshot; partial payouts are handled manually by ops.

Withdraw requests are rate-limited to three per hour per account to protect the ops inbox. Wait an hour or use Creators → Earnings in Studio if you need to retry.

No. Plan credits pay for your own generations. Marketplace earnings sit in a separate payout balance withdrawable as cash — they are not spendable on templates. See Creators → Earnings for Payout balance vs Total earned.

Not directly — withdraw earnings, then use a paid plan or free-tier generation credits for your own shoots. This separation keeps buyer payouts auditable.

Request any available withdrawal before account deletion. Deletion is irreversible and removes marketplace data per privacy policy. Account deletion via DM is planned with extra confirmation; today use Studio account settings or email [email protected].

Affiliate commissions apply to marketplace generations (net margin share), not subscription invoices. A referred brand must run paid generations — especially using marketplace listings — for affiliate rows to appear.

Brand-referrer leg pays a share of Apiway net margin on their generations (default 30%, lifetime while referred). They do not have to use your listings for that leg. Creator-referrer leg pays when they use the referred creator’s marketplace listings (default 20%). Combined cap 50% of net margin per event.

First-touch on your published storefront or listing is stored when someone visits. Signup attribution for the Affiliate tab reporting uses a 30-day window from that touch. Affiliate payout legs for referred brands are lifetime by default (configurable by Apiway ops).

No — Creators → Affiliate shows masked emails for privacy. You still see listing titles, dates, template, and commission breakdown per usage event.

Attribution requires their first touch on your published storefront or listing within the window, a new account, and completed signup flow. They must also generate (for commissions) or match reporting rules for signup rows. Have them open your live profile link before registering.

Yes — the creator-referrer leg pays on generations that use their marketplace listings (default 20% of net margin, no time limit once linked). Combined with brand-referrer legs, total affiliate share per generation is capped at 50% of net margin.

No published cap on referrals. Commissions remain tied to real marketplace activity and anti-abuse rules (no self-referral, no scripted spam).

Ask to delete a listing and provide the URL or confirm the listing the bot shows. Apiway sends a postback Confirm button — tap it once. Deletion is permanent and removes Pinterest pins scheduled for that listing. Foreign URLs are rejected.

Unpublish (toggle off) hides the set from Explore and stops new buyer generations while keeping the listing record. Delete removes the listing entirely. Brands keep commercial rights to images they already generated under your publish consent.

Yes. Open the photo set on the web, choose the co-author's role and share %, and Apiway gives you a private code (like K7QX-2M9P). Send that code to the person you're inviting — they DM it to the Apiway bot on Instagram to accept and start earning their share. If the photo was held because it shows someone else, their acceptance also clears that consent hold.

They don't need an Apiway account first. Get the invite code on the web and send it to them — when they DM it to the Apiway bot on Instagram, the bot signs them up right in the chat (email + a one-time code), then adds them to the photo set and starts their share. No nickname or published profile required up front.

Pricing is per listing (per generation against the set), not per frame index. Split content into two listings if you need different pools.

Optional metadata on reference-style listings lets you attach custom prompt guidance brands’ generations should follow. Configure it when selling or editing a photo set in Studio — not in Instagram DM. Bulk upload hides the panel on small screens; edit per listing after drafts appear.

Up to 30 frames per set, all cohesive (same model identity, lighting, and pose family). Strong sets often ship 12–20 great frames rather than 30 weak ones. Minimum practical count is enough frames for brands to run campaigns — publish when every frame is usable.

Dedup blocks republishing identical original bytes twice for your account. Create a new shoot or materially edit files if you need a second listing. Different crops exported as new files may still hash differently — focus on unique buyer value.

Creators → Sets → open the listing → Edit. Changes apply to the public page and Explore metadata. Instagram DM cannot edit copy in v1.

Pinterest sync is an account-level toggle, not per-listing. When on, Apiway mirrors your published marketplace frames to its own Pinterest board with a link back to your storefront — Apiway holds the pins, you don't connect a Pinterest account. Turn it on or off in Studio under Creators → Connections, or in Instagram DM under Account → Pinterest sync. Web bulk-upload consent and the post-link DM step both ask once and remember your answer. Deleting a listing schedules pin removal automatically.

Photo sets (up to 30 frames) are the default UGC rental product for Styled Photoset. Avatar listings sell a single AI model identity (male/female flag) for repeated use. Most creators start with photo sets; avatars suit synthetic character licensors.

Both are multi-frame marketplace assets. Reference listings emphasize curated frames plus optional advanced prompt metadata for brand workflows. Standard photo sets are the usual UGC try-on bundle. Brands discover both in Explore.

Unpublish the listing or delete it to stop new generations. You cannot block one brand while keeping others on the same listing. Already-generated downloads remain licensed to the brand under your publish consent.

Yes for generations completed while the set was published. Your first-publish consent covers commercial use of outputs they already paid for. Unpublish stops future generations only.

Licensing trail

You retain ownership of your original frames. The brand receives a commercial license to outputs they paid to generate, documented in the marketplace consent trail. Apiway hosts the generation infrastructure; terms are in the Terms of Service.

Earnings and Affiliate rows show masked buyer emails and listing titles per event, not a full CRM dashboard. Use those tabs for recent activity; there is no public leaderboard of brands per creator.

Marketplace payouts are designed to be final per completed generation. Chargebacks and manual adjustments are handled by ops case by case — contact [email protected] if you see an unexpected balance change.

Not today. Unpublish sensitive listings or rotate to new sets while support evaluates abuse reports.

You must confirm you have rights for every identifiable person in a set, including yourself, when you publish. Keep your own model release paperwork for disputes offline — Apiway’s checkbox covers marketplace licensing to brands, not your local employment law.

Sign-in is email plus one-time codes (and OAuth where enabled). Dedicated authenticator-app 2FA is not a separate product toggle today. Use a secure email provider and do not share codes in Instagram DMs with anyone pretending to be support.

No. Your staged and published frames are private to your account until published as marketplace listings. Public buyers see only published listing frames and anonymized AI generation examples you have not hidden.

One Studio user id maps to one creator marketplace identity. Use separate emails if you need two distinct storefronts (for example agency vs personal).

Yes — generation credits from your plan (including the 150 one-time free tier) are separate from marketplace payout balance. Creators can run any template like a brand while in brand mode or when using Create tools.

You pay the buyer price (creator pool + marketplace markup) like any brand unless you run an internal test as the owner — marketplace charges still apply when another account generates. Testing as the same account may still record usage; check Earnings for rows.

Styled Photoset

Marketplace economics treat buyer and seller separately even when you own the listing. Use non-marketplace templates with your garments for free-tier experiments, or accept the listed buyer price when dogfooding your set.

No automatic creator discount today. Paid plans follow public pricing at /pricing. Marketplace earnings are the creator monetization path.

Keep listings brand-safe for mainstream fashion advertisers. NSFW content is not appropriate for the marketplace. Visible third-party trademarks you do not own can trigger takedowns — shoot clean branding or blur logos.

When you earn money as a creator promoting your own storefront, follow Instagram and FTC disclosure rules for your region (#ad, paid partnership, etc.). Apiway does not provide legal advice on influencer marketing.

No. Publishing requires confirming you have rights from every identifiable person. Without a model release, you expose yourself and brands to likeness claims.
