How to bulk upload creator photos for marketplace listings

When a single drag-and-drop batch is faster than adding frames one-by-one, use the Photos tab bulk-upload flow. This guide covers /app/creators/photos/bulk-upload, browser-side resizing, queued processing jobs, how draft listings land in the Photos tab, and why you still publish each set individually.

What you need

  • Folder or loose files (PNG, JPEG, WebP, HEIC)
  • An Apiway account (no need to publish a creator profile first — Apiway publishes a minimal storefront on your behalf when the first listing goes live)

Steps

  1. (Optional) Set up your Profile tab — or skip it

Since 2026-05-07 you can go straight to Upload photos. When the first listing publishes, Apiway auto-publishes a minimal public storefront with an allocated nickname and a generated display name. If you want to control nickname / avatar / bio up front, do it now in Creators → Profile; otherwise come back later — the fields autosave.

    Open in Apiway

  2. Open Photos → Upload photos

Creators defaults on the Photos tab. Click Upload photos to navigate to /app/creators/photos/bulk-upload. The same shortcut also lives on your own creator profile (Add photos button on both the published and unpublished previews of studio.apiway.ai/<nickname>) and on Explore (mobile in-app: **List as a creator** in the top bar — black pill in Creator mode, outlined button in Brand mode).

    Open in Apiway

  3. Select many files or a folder

Drag everything from a shoot into the dropzone. HEIC files preview after conversion; oversized images resize in-browser to speed up transfer. Pick your default earnings per generation on this page; advanced prompt mode is available when you sell or edit each photo set later.

  4. Submit and watch queued jobs

Apiway stages bytes immediately, then processes resize jobs asynchronously. Return to the Photos tab to see drafts appear as each job completes.

  5. Open each draft listing

Every batch produces editable photo-set drafts. Open a draft to reorder frames, fix cover selection, and confirm model-release metadata before publishing.

  6. Set pricing and publish

Enter the creator pool (minimum 83 credits — an inline amber Minimum is 83 credits to publish hint warns you if the value drops below the floor), add optional co-authors, and click Publish. Until you publish, the listing stays off Explore and off your public storefront.

    Open in Apiway

Common mistakes

  • Mixing unrelated shoots in one bulk drop

Bulk upload still groups frames logically per job, but curating per shoot before uploading keeps listing titles accurate. Upload one session per batch when possible.

  • Assuming bulk upload auto-publishes to Explore

Legal consent and pricing are per listing. Apiway never auto-publishes without an explicit publish action from the creator.

Troubleshooting

  • Jobs show processing for a long time

Large batches can take several minutes. Keep the tab open until the queue drains; if nothing moves after an hour, refresh the Photos tab and contact support with the approximate upload timestamp.
